At a meeting of the Board of Directors of AOPA Bulgaria, a decision was made to convene a General Meeting of the Association for 2022 with the following agenda:

1. Report on the activity from the last GA meeting until now - Topics such as the conducted air tours of Bulgaria in 2021 and 2022, the agreements reached for ground services, etc. will be discussed.

2. Financial report - Including the last sample of the membership table of the association, attraction of new members, incl. corporate etc.

3. Safety lecture by a representative of safety board - The winter season...

Fifth aviation tour in Bulgaria

During 23rd and 25th of September AOPA Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Airforce foundation organized the fifth aviation tour of Bulgaria dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Bulgarian military aviation, 85th anniversary of the delivery of the battle flags to the aviation formations and 25th anniversary of the Bulgarian Airforce foundation.

The tour started from Dolna Mitropolya millitary base and passed through the airfields of Balchik, Primorsko, millitary base Bezmer and finally ended at Uzundjovo Airbase.

New Handling contract for Varna and Burgas

On 27th of July, AOPA Bulgaria and Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD have sined an exclusive contract for ground handling services for named AOPA members and their aircrafts.

In order to benefit from the agreed conditions, each pilot should notify the handling agent 72h before the flight, filing the following information:

1. Name of the pilot.
2. AOPA ID card number
3. Type of aircraft for the flight concerned (ICAO code)
4. Name of company which will be invoiced for particular flight (if it is a corporate member of AOPA Bulgaria)
5. Terms of payment

AOPA Bulgaria took part in the meeting held by CAA on 2.11.2021 at 10:00 am on the topic of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/664 on the regulatory framework for U-space (commencement of implementation 26.01.2023).
