On 26th of May (Sunday) at 11:30LT aircraft Pipistrel Virus with registration IC721 crashed after take off from Ihtiman airport (LBHT).
Despite the quick reaction of medical and firefighting teams, two persons lost their lives. Ivan Kostadinov, active AOPA BG member and dear friend, and the passenger Vyara Lozanova. The aircraft incident investigation has commenced and details about the reasons are yet to be announced. What we can say for sure is that we lost a friend, a person full of passion in flying that loved the sky.
